All the preparations have been made for Thanksgiving Day;
The decorations, the deserts, and the abundant feast.
The blessing of God's banquet is bestowed upon the family;
A day of prayer, thankfulness, thoughtfulness, and hospitality.
A morning Mass of thanksgiving or the rival football game;
The dash back home to indulge in the feast of the game.
The prayer, the laughs, all the stories of days gone by;
The tears, the memories, of family and friends that have died.
This is the great day of Thanksgiving as ordained by the Lamb;
The gifts, and the pouring out of blessings of the Great, "I AM".

All the preparations are underway for the biggest of selling days;
The decorations, the abundant goods, shelves packed and stacked.
The advertisements, the commercial enticement of items to be sold;
The lure of the god's of this world and their many temples of gold.
The divide, and separation, of the unity and joy that this day brings;
Is sold out and replace with dig deals on so called precious things.
The day, buyers and sellers partake in the great rush of the game;
Counting not blessings, but counting the numbers made and saved.
A "Tale of Two" - A contrast of Thanksgiving Day we once knew;
A day of a blessed family turkey meal - Or a day the turkey is you.
