Is it too late to turn it all around

The eve of Election Day is today

Always two sides to every story

Or is it possible to have three

Seems the great debate is history

Civil discussion is by the wayside

Conviction considered blasphemy 

All opinions are crossing the line

Truth no longer exists or matters

Everything's cool even a lying fool

Politicians utter endless chatter

The talking heads spewing news

We still have freedom to choose

Two sides, one winner, one loser

Or for the common good victory

Pray for common sense integrity

Avoid many and very close to few

Turn a cheek as they criticize you

Be humble and grounded in truth

Caught in the vice of soul control 

Distractions reach out taking hold

Daily routines of a push and pull

Be firm in faith as a steadfast bull 

Mind game cons in all directions

Guarded in your real connections

Expand as life starts closing in

Power of perseverance is within

Enjoy your gifts wisely my child

Blessings and talents as well too

Proud, boastful swagger

Best seats at the table

Center of attraction

Confident and able

Extortion and adultery

Unrighteous sinner

Branded reputation

Yet a man of contrition

Egotist stood praying

To justify his behavior

In public for all to see

Without a bent knee

The sorrowful man

Head bowed in shame

The proud boastful man

I am Christian, a believer of Christ

No apologies, for the love of my life

I am a sinner, no hallo above my head

I am Catholic, my sins were laid to rest

For many, every day can be challenging

For so many of us, painful and troubling

Others caught in webs of vice and addiction

Incarceration, poor decisions and conviction

We have all fallen short of the Glory of God

Everyone has a past, present, and future story

A tarnished collage overshadowed and renewed 

The grace and ability to restore old things to new

The power lies in forgiveness and humility

Hand over all things to God, with faith, believe

Proclaim with confidence faith in Jesus Christ

His love, mercy, and road to Eternal Life...Amen!

Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteous sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Walking tall is not easy

Right thing is hard too

Popular side like the tide

Turns in and out on you

Stay the course through

They will seed untruth

Lie, slander, and accuse

The chosen ones are few

Beaten up and battered

Fight on, stand for truth

Resist all temptations

Set up to silence you
