The God We Serve

People are running scared

Frightened at the state of affairs
What do we tell our children
They see the pain; see all the tears

No reason for the hatefulness

This empty and broken state of mind
Time to set the record straight
Living in the darkness - is living blind

The God we serve is full of love
He takes no pleasure in selfishness
The God we serve is full of mercy
He waits for you and me - patiently
The God we serve sees everything
He sees the storms; sees the spring
The God we serve is Lord and Master
He overcomes the disaster we bring

People, it's time to share love
Share the gifts that we've been given
Bring peace to the little ones
The joy of our lives, our loving children

Time to extend our faithfulness
Put an end to all of this hatefulness
Let our joy radiate and shine
Restore the sight to all of the blind

The God we serve is an awesome God
He created us to be joyful and free
The God we serve is full of wonder
He waits for you and me - patiently
The God we serve sees everything
He brings forth the flowers of spring
The God we serve is fullness of truth
He is joy - he is love - he is everything!

Bliss of Eternity – John 10:27-30

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.

I give eternal life to them. They will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.

My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all. No one is able to snatch them out of my Father's hand.

I and the Father are one.”

 

My children hear me; follow me

Inherit the Kingdom of my Father

The Father and I are truly one

He has given you to me --- to me!

 

No one will snatch you away

Those written in the book of life

Your salvation settled on a tree

He has given you to me --- to me!

He is my Father; I his Son

No one is greater than He

He has given you to me --- to me!

 

You are treasure in His hand

The Lord Jesus is risen

Take the gift we were given

Through God's Eyes

All kinds of people; different places
Unique cultures, voices and faces
The food we eat; clothes we wear
We're all so different - so it appears

If we find our way to the other side

I wonder if things will be the same
Our eyes will forever be opened wide
We'll be one family - with one name

Daughters and Sons of the Most High

Never ever see any need for diversity
All in awesome wonder and surprise

Merciful Cross

Over the brook Kidron, in the garden, Jesus and his disciples entered in.

With lanterns, torches, and weapons, soldiers came to questioned him.

Jesus said, “Who are you looking for?” “Jesus of Nazareth.”  “I am he.”

Judas approached Jesus; evil entered in, and betrayed him with a kiss.

So many times we enter the garden

To find a place for some quiet peace

Then darkness comes to seek us out

To draw us away from light to misery

Evil finds a way to draw hearts away

Those in power place labels upon us

And who are they looking for any way

Hearts grown cold are easy to stray

But, this is their hour; so they reason

Armed, they seek to overtake meek

It will last for only a very short season

Till the clock strikes the stroke of three

Although we too betrayed with a kiss

He with whom we entered the garden

The Living Power of the Merciful Cross

Christian soldiers, has sealed our pardon

Their King

They called him, Master

Wisdom beyond his years
Words of everlasting life
As soldiers readied spears

Upon the back of an ass

Journeying past the crowd
In exhalation and praise
Laying their branches down

Deliverer of the good news

Setting the captives free
Calling him King of the Jews
Paving the road to Calvary

They called him, Master

They called him, Teacher
They called him, Messiah
Then, crucified their King
