While Jesus was speaking, a woman from the crowd called out and said to him, "Blessed is the womb that carried you and the breasts at which you nursed." He replied," He replied, "Rather, blessed are those who hear the word of God and observe it."
Consideration: Jesus responds to the woman who called out to him while he was speaking. What he said to her should knock us all to our knees. He immediately redirects the focus away from him and gives God the Father the glory. Blessed are those who hear the word of God; living out the truth that is alive in them and observes the power that they bring to our daily lives. Amen.
