The battle raged, family by his side

He smiled, overwhelmed with pain
Spoke of love, beyond his days
He laughed, to keep others sane
He smiled, with a heavenly gaze
He smiled then, he smiles now

In the arms, of perfect love

The ragging battle, had taken its toll
Then he smiled, I heard him say
Jesus is here, with me, today
I love my Jesus, and he loves me
