How did he feel when the word came in
After fourteen years they were moving him
Hard to believe that it's time for letting go
Even though, it's just a little down the road
Dogwood flowered trees to the city streets
Cricket singing nights to lights and sirens
Now it's time to say thank you and goodbye
Move on with life, in this moment in time
For everyone, our loving God has a plan
He holds the keys of our lives in His hands
How things will end up only heaven knows
If we could only see a little down the road
Though life may be filled with uncertainty
Faith is a grace full of wonder and belief
Though human eyes cannot always see
The plan unfolding to lead us to eternity
Now he has moved a little down the road
We're so blessed for the love he has shown
Our Shepherd forever - so grateful are we
Welcome home Fr. Skip, to the city streets
