There was a little girl sleeping
Jesus took hold of her hand
The crowds gathered mocking
Lacking faith to understand
He called, saying, “Child, arise!”
At once her spirit came alive
She rose up.....she rose up!
Opening their faithless eyes
Today Christians are sleeping
Slumber has now settled in
The pulpits becoming silent
While sharks seek prey within
Christians it's time to awaken
We can no longer sit idly by
The fins of darkness circling
Only the faithful will survive
Call out to the Son of Man
To take church by the hand
Lord, call out, "Children, arise"
Jesus, open our faithless eyes
We shall arise.....we shall arise!
Christian soldiers hand in hand
We are not dead but sleeping
Arise, faithful Christians...arise!
