God's Spirit was hovering over all
God said, "Let there be light,"
It was so good...darkness to light
So many dwell within darkness
They have eyes but do not see
Walking on the road to perdition
Captives of their wasted energy
Many struggle do the right thing
Their eyes are fixed on eternity
Walking amidst hovering spirits
Darkening their way to destiny
We journey many winding roads
Reaping blessings we have sown
Though we may carry heavy loads
Our eyes stay focused on home
Just let God's light shine through
Live your life in perfect harmony
Through the darkness facing you
To the light setting captives free
