TOGETHER WE ARE ONE - ALONE WE ARE A PART / APART

The joy of life is "Love of God"..."Love of Family"..."Love of Friends". My God is my everthing...Family is the air I breathe...Friendship fuels the life in me. "Believe"..."Dream"..."Love"!!!

God Chose You

God has a plan for everyone
Though we may not see it
Our Father can see it through
For this reason, God chose you

This is a time of much distress
So much pain and emptiness
Poverty is knocking at the door
The city streets in an uproar

A shadow hovering above us
The Light has been outcast
Yet, in our midst, hope exist
In this Season of Christmas

Like ornaments upon the tree
So uniquely beautiful are we
Nestled within the branches
Where we have been placed

This night a star is hovering
A great light piercing through
The shadow of darkness flees
The Babe; the Prince of Peace

His great plan will be revealed
Eyes opened wide shall see
God chose you to light the way
God chose you to live in Peace!

The Face of a Thief

Tis the season of Peace, Joy; Love
A time of giving, sharing; caring
Visiting family and enjoying friends
Counting blessings; making amends

A time of grace for inner reflection
Taking inventory within the person
Offering ourselves; fulfilling needs
Preparing the way of eternal things

Darkness however, diminishes light
Forging its will upon all innocence
Seeking to destroy everything holy
Spreading evil and showing its face

Murderers, haters and race baiters
Violence inciters; shameless dividers
Petty politicians spewing discord
Playing out the social justice cord

Today, the bright lights are dimmer
The joy of the season now somber
Hearts are shattered and broken
Love, a word that is merely a token

Tis the season of Peace, Joy; Love
In its midst exist sadness and grief
This Christmas faith must prevail
To overshadow the face of a thief

He Opened My Eyes

Hustling, bustling; edgily waiting
The pace and pressure weighing
A sudden glance to the curb side
Was a moment of true awakening
In that moment in time I realized

How truly fortunate of a man I am
Taking for granted so many things
Only fools profess to understand
In the things that they can not see

One step, then two, taken in stride
Swaying his staff side over side
An amazing sight made me think
Compared to his faith I am weak

Life is a long journey crossing over
Red, yellow or green he did not see
Steps of faith lead to the other side
I too am blind; he opened my eyes

Amazing Grace

Children, everything is passing
Eternity is a mere blink away
How many spend time grasping
How many take time to pray

See the big picture around you
Listen to words people say
It's so hard to make it through
Faith the guiding light of way

Have no fear of future things
Whether the bell may toll
Live out the graces given you
Journey the way of the soul

Every moment is a treasure
Wonder waiting to unfold
Life a trip to lasting pleasure
Joy the rainbow's pot of gold

Blink to the end of the story
As life passes along the way
See the fulfillment of glory
To conceive Amazing Grace

Trading Places

I awoke today

Peeled the covers away

I washed my face

Ate me some breakfast

Started my day

Some work: some play

Did I see the grace

I've been blessed with

It was so cold last night

So many tears were cried

Some may even have died

The night was so so frigid

How are the children

Were they hungry last night

Did the senior citizen

Want sometime.....anything

Will they get through today

Will they eat a warm meal

Will the cold freeze away

The hopelessness they feel

I awoke today

Warm and full of grace

Will I awake one day

To trading places

Our Brother

Another one has locked the door
The numbers not there anymore
In days past they packed them in
But this is now and that was then

Courts and fields looking so lonely
Not like the era of a bygone day
Seems to me like it's uniforms only
Today if you want to play you pay

Something is wrong with this picture
Where are the families and friends
The one thing you can rest assure of
In this bleak scenario nobody wins

We should take a page from the past
Back in the day a hand held another
In the pew; on the field, face to face
Looking eye to eye with our brother

Springtime

Today, is spring-time for the rest of my life
Thank you for the grace of opening my eyes
Praises and glory to my Lord, Jesus Christ
This day, Springtime, has entered in my life

The cold days of winter have finally passed
My heart deeply longing for joy that will last
Surrounding barriers were keeping me at bay
This day, Springtime, has melted them away

Today, is spring-time for the rest of my life
Glory and praises, to my Lord, Jesus Christ
Obstacles that challenged me, day by day
This day, all have vanished, vanished away

Today, is spring-time for the rest of my life
Thank you for the grace of opening my eyes
Praises and glory to my Lord, Jesus Christ
This day, Springtime, has entered in my life

Today, is spring-time...today is spring-time
Glory and praises, to my Lord, Jesus Christ
Springtime-Springtime-Springtime-Springtime
Today, Springtime, has given me new life

"Jesus"

Oceans run deep at her side

So deep and blue

Vast canyons echoing in time

Rocky mountains too

Fertile prairies; sparkling streams

The land of hopes and dreams

This is the time to renew

The Red, White, and Blue

So many feeling that it is over

Our best is in the past

The Spirit watching above her

Set the die that cast

This one Nation under God

Lord righteousness and truth

One day a graceful lighting rod

Will cleanse the sins of our youth

Then the waves of God's blessings

Will wash up on every shore

The land of hopes and dreams

Will unite the world to her core...Jesus!

In Paradise

I have seen the birds when they fly
Gracefully above high in the sky
I have seen the pain in tearful eyes
Gazed upon heaven asking why
I have cried when my loved ones died
Rejoicing for the gift of their lives

I long for the day when we all reside
Together as one, as one...in Paradise

There were times when I turned away
From a friend that was in need
There were times when I went astray
Giving in because I was weak
There were times I prayed for answers
When I lacked faith to believe

I long for the day when we all will rise
When we will rise, as one...in Paradise

Together as one, in love with Jesus
Together as one, we all will reside
Together as one, in love with Jesus
We will rise, together...in Paradise

I have seen the birds when they fly
I have seen the pain in tearful eyes
I remember my loved ones every day
I remember as one how we prayed
I remember the smiles on their faces
I remember their hugs and embraces

I long for the day when we all reside
Together as one, as one...in Paradise

Together as one, in love with Jesus
Together as one, we all will reside
Together as one, in love with Jesus
One together in Christ.....in Paradise

To Be Like Them

Like lights in the heavens
Bringing joy to our lives
Singing the Lords praises
They are the little ones
They are children of God
Like stars above the sky
We are to be like them
We are to be like them
Little ones shining bright
They are children of God
Innocent without shame
Joyful throughout the day
They never see any evil
Or never cast any blame
They are children of God
Like stars above the sky
We are to be like them
We are to be like them
Little ones shining bright
They are children of God
Like lights in the heavens
Like stars above the sky
Innocent without shame
We are to be like them
We are to be like them
Like stars above the sky
We are to be like them
We are to be like them
Little ones shining bright
They are children of God

A Smiling Face

They're tearing down the neighborhood
And saying that it's for our own good
Those massive buildings of a bygone day
Wood, steel and countless bricks of clay
Those many towers of spiral chimneys
That ushered the black smoke high in sky
These are relics of the many industries
That paved the way to fruits of modern life
Concrete footings, and stone foundations
Wooden girders; steel formed in this Nation
Coal fired furnaces supplying the power
Dinosaurs of an era leading to this hour
On the face they look dirty, cold and old
There was a day they were shiny and new
Behind every brick, piece of wood or steel
Is a face that smiles down on me and you

Love so Wise

Is it wise to hope for miracles
Lay it all on the line for truth
Seek out answers to questions
Surrender heart and soul to you

Is it wise to fight for freedom
Keep longing for brighter days
Though it feels we are loosing
God answers a soul that prays

Father, Creator and Lover of life
So wonderful, powerful, so wise
Father, the heartbeat of our lives
So magnificent, powerful, so wise

Is it wise to grasp on to holiness
While righteousness slips away
Try to fill the void of emptiness
So deep and deeper every day

Is it wise for us to forge ahead
To transform the world anew
Give all that we have to give
Share the love received from you

Father, Creator and Lover of life
So wonderful, powerful, so wise
Father, it is transformation time
Give it all up for love ... it is wise
Father of Love.....Father so Wise

I Sigh

Another one of those days

Seems nothing is going right

Drifting many different ways

Without any desire to fight

My back at rest upon a wall

The only thing left standing

Bracing me against the fall

My heart is contemplating

Amazing is the faithful guest

Always there shoring me up

As I am about to fail the test

He smiles and passes the cup

So many say there is no joy

The good times have past by

To this older man once a boy

Bowing my head to you, I sigh

A Quest for the Divine

We live our lives as lines of poetry
Brief descriptions of what others see
The upside, downside, inside and out
The victories, the failings and doubt
Crossing lines; at times being crossed
Making moves; not weighing the cost
Living as a captive and setting free
Those in bondage and seeking liberty
All the verses and countless rhymes
Pitching pennies, nickels and dimes
The upside, downside, inside and out
This is reality; what life is all about
We live our lives as lines of poetry
Praying in the end we will be standing
Life is a verse measured within time
Life is poetry, a quest for the Divine

The King of Comedy

He was a funny man, a very very funny man

Not a giant man, but he was larger than life

Oh, he made us laugh, really made us laugh

Such laughter, it brought tears to our eyes

Like the voice of endless graceful melodies

Expressions that brought us to our knees

Remember the early days of Mork and Mindy

He was the Robin; sweet king of comedy

Behind the joys of great fame and fortune

Realities of this life can spin out of control

Sometimes the walls around close you in

Take a toll; attempt rob-in...your very soul

Amidst the sudden tragedy and disbelief

The overwhelming sorrow and painful grief

This is a day that memories are made for

The day he bows, and we yell out for more

Like the voice of endless graceful melodies

Expressions that brought us to our knees

Remember the early days of Mork and Mindy

He was the Robin; sweet king of comedy

God's Miight

They fell with the fall of man

Have fallen every day since

From the saved and damned

The pauper and the prince

From the father and mother

From the sister and brother

From land to the shining sea

From the confined and free

The effect of pain and grief

From consolation and relief

In happy times and in sad

Forever present not a fad

So filled with lasting power

Within darkness and in light

Ceasing as heaven showers

Dissipate before God's Might

Is That What You See

We have all the answers
Yet, many questions persist

We proclaim to know it all
Wisdom is our greatest gift

We see through everything
With eyes that can not see

We are living the biggest lie
People, we've been deceived

We long for righteousness
While hammering our brother

We claim to be understanding
Because it gives us cover

We sing many songs of love
Never ever proclaiming peace

We say we are Christians
People...is that what you see?

Love Too

An eye for an eye
A tooth for a tooth
We heard it before

If they strike you
Turn your cheek
To give them more

Resist not the evil
Others do to you
Remember, love too

Your enemies
Your persecutors
Haters of the truth

If someone steals
A dollar from you
Reach out with two

Show compassion
If injustice loams
Like the children do

Strive to be perfect
Live the good news
In all things...Love Too

Words Archived

You're not here anymore
There's no communication
Empty chair inside the door
While a toll is being taken

I long to hear your advice
Wisdom of so many years
A whisper would be nice
Your voice to grace my ears

Reality is truly an awakening
So my soul does not despair
Though my heart is quaking
I feel your love is very near

Like many past conversations
When your insight came alive
I reach deep within my soul
Retrieving your words archived

Persecution of Christianity

Listen to the wailing and screaming
As it was two thousand years ago
Innocence is being exterminated
Evil forces striking a heavy blow

The blood of martyrs being shed
People's lives are in utter despair
This is a crime against humanity
A time of great distress and fear

The demons must be quivering
Of what will soon come to pass
Blood of martyrs is pouring out
Culminating soon in God's wrath

The ancient Coliseum is echoing
Screams of horror and despair
Evil again showing its ugly face
We all have eyes but do we care

The voice of the Church is silent
Evil is being allowed to roam free
History once again repeating itself
In the persecution of Christianity

A Martyr's Crown

Claim to be his and you will suffer
Speak truth; you will be ridiculed
Live morally; you will be scorned
A living martyr's crown of thorns

They will pin abusive tags on you
Labeled a relic of a bygone day
Curse and hiss you over and over
Attacking you as helpless prey

The arrogant, proud and boastful
Will make a laughing stock of you
You will be battered and beaten
Chastised for all the works you do

Stand tall warrior faithful and true
Proclaim always his blessed name
Salvation born amidst thorny roses
A martyr's crown seals your claim

I Love Christianity

I love my faith
It sets me free
I love Christianity

I love the Mass
Celebrating the Lamb
I love the "Great I Am"

I will never waiver
Never ever be quiet
I will not sit idly by

I love my Savior
His name is Jesus
His love is everlasting

I will never be ashamed
To proclaim his Holy Name
He is my Lord and King

I love my faith
It sets me free
I love Christianity

Holy, Holy, Holy

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you
Before you were born I consecrated you
I appointed you a prophet to every nation
Before the beginning of time....."I AM"
My Lord in you I take refuge
Let me never be put to shame
In thy righteousness deliver me
Thy wondrous deeds I proclaim
My praise is continually of thee
You are forever a fortress for me
In the womb you sustained me
Upon the cross you set me free
My rock of refuge and tranquility
Strong fortress cover my shame
Wisdom pours forth from thee
Thy Holy Name I shall proclaim
Before you formed me you knew me
Consecrated my soul to live for thee
To rejoice forever of your glory
The "Great I AM" Holy, Holy, Holy!

Together Redeemed

Those damn menaces
Cluttering our gardens
Choking down under
Shading out the light

They do not bear fruit
Unsightly and visible
Powerful and strong
At work day and night

Inhibiting our growth
Pricking through us
Relentless; persistent
Sticking like leaches

Remaining steadfast
With patient humility
Awaiting the harvest
The gathering season

A time of separation
All shall be gathered
The bearer and barren
Uprooted and sifted

Menace and Martyr
Such an unlikely team
Soiled daily together
Together redeemed
